Watch Live the Final of the XOC-Brasil

XOC Brasil is an overclocking contest organized by XTEK, a well know Brazilian tech, gaming and OC news related community. The XOC Brasil is probably the most important Brazilian competition that is rolling out it’s final for this begining of 2012 in South America. For the events final, the live competition will be held on the Campus Party and is sponsored by GIGABYTE.

So lets have a quick look at what this competition is made of :)

The Final lineup isn’t made of worldwide famous overclockers, but this is a great occasion for these guys to show of and show the OC community what they can do Live! We wish them the best luck, and may the best overclocker win :)

Competition Rig

Finally, lets have a look at the gear. The gear for these finals is the following :

  • Motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FX UD3
  • CPU AMD FX 8150
  • Graphics HD 6870 Video Card
  • SSD Corsair 60GB SSD Force 3
  • PSU Corsair TX 850
  • Memory Corsair Dominator GT 2133 Mhz 2 x 2GB

Benchmarks

The competition is based on three successive benchmark rounds as following:

  • First : Memory frequency – 45min (I suppose here is simply max mem frequency in CPUZ)
  • Second : CPU Clock – 1 hour (max validated frequency)
  • Third : wPrime 1024M – 1H15min

For each benchmark rounds, the competitors will get the following scores according to their ranking in each benchmark rounds:

Memory Clock:

  • 1st place – 18 points
  • 2nd place – 15 points
  • 3rd place – 12 points
  • 4th place – 9 points
  • 5th place – 6 points
  • 6th place – 4 points
  • 7th place – 3 points
  • 8th place – 2 points
  • 9th place – 1 point
  • 10th place – 0 points

CPU Frequency:

  • 1st place – 19 points
  • 2nd place – 16 points
  • 3rd place – 13 points
  • 4th place – 10 points
  • 5th place – 7 points
  • 6th place – 4 points
  • 7th place – 3 points
  • 8th place – 2 points
  • 9th place – 1 point
  • 10th place – 0 points

Ratings by wPrime benchmark:

  • 1st place – 20 points
  • 2nd place – 17 points
  • 3rd place – 14 points
  • 4th place – 11 points
  • 5th place – 8 points
  • 6th place – 5 points
  • 7th place – 3 points
  • 8th place – 2 points
  • 9th place – 1 point
  • 10th place – 0 points

Rewards

Now, lets take a look at the rewards. The top 2 places get almost a complete rig and the thrid place a little smaller price, but hey, it’s always nice to win something right?
