Cooler Master just announced that it would sponsor prizes for the HWBOT Team Cup and award a Pro OC contract to the winning team. Okay, now I have your attention.

HWBOT Team Cup 2014 Prizes announced

The Team Cup competition is an in-house competition by HWBOT. It is hosted annually and features the overclocking teams present on the platform. During the summer months, these teams are battling on several bracket challenges and eventually end-up being crowned the best OC Team at HWBOT.

Today, Cooler Master a recently added partner to HWBOT is announcing that is is going to sponsor prizes for the top5 winning teams of the competitions. Among the prizes we have Power Supply’s (such as the V1200 Platinum) as well as some always useful AiO water-cooling the nepton 280L.

This is how the distribution will be made:

Pro OC Season Sponsorship

And now the crispy part. ProOC is the league at HWBOT where the Pro guys belong. Being a pro implies to be benching as a team of (up to) five overclockers and focus on some of the most extreme stuff out there. To be in Pro OC implies an important budget for hardware, ln2 and time – an thus, for Pro’s support is essential.

For this editions of the Team Cup, Cooler Master is, on top of the other prizes, offering a one season sponsorship package to the winning team. This means that the team will have to make a Pro OC team, sign with CM and in exchange receive plenty of gear, and quite importantly a budget allocation for LN2, Team t-shirts, mouse, keyboards, PSU etc. Impressive!

Quite frankly I think this is clearly something we’ve been awaiting to see happen and the simple fact that half of the setup + LN2 is covered – will definitely be a huge motivation for some of the guys out there. It is now up to the clever teams to leverage the occasion and demonstrate what they can do as a professional organized team.

We are truly looking forward to it. Well done CM.
